Weekend in the Twin Cities

Lisa and I met a few of our friends in the Twin Cities for a concert Sunday night. We saw the Flatliners, No Use For A Name, and NOFX at the Myth in Maplewood. It was a good time. I've wanted to see NOFX for about 15 years.

On Monday we went and got some good breakfast from a Dutch place and then did some shopping. I went to my favorite record store (Extreme Noise) and got some good stuff.

Then we went to the science museum in St Paul. (see picture above of Eric, Lisa and I) Lot's of interesting stuff there. They had a very good but depressing exhibit on the history of eugenics and the Holocaust called "Deadly Medicine; Creating the Master Race". Amazing what people can do to each other. I was shocked that eugenics was also very widespread in the US during that time as well. I know this might not go over well with some of you but it was amazing how similar some of the propaganda back then is to what our federal government has been putting out the last few years. Spooky.

Anyhoo. We just pulled in to town at midnight and I'm ready for bed.

Glad to hear that you are still taking field trips. I bet it was fun to "get out of town"
