Lisa @ 32 weeks.....8 weeks to go!

Jazzfest/Baby Shower weekend

The weekend of July 19th some friends came down for JazzFest and our baby shower in Sioux Falls. We had a house full for the weekend. Went out and enjoyed our yard and Jazzfest Saturday. We (most of us....sorry Lisa) enjoyed some cold beer on a hot summer night and woke up and made a greasy breakfast buffet. Jess and Angela painted some flowers, dragonflys, and lady bugs that matched our bedding we have for the nursery. Then we headed for the baby shower. Unfortunately I did not take many good pictures at our baby shower. When I get some from someone else I will post them.

July 4th

We spent the 4th in Worthing, SD (about 15 minutes south of Sioux Falls) with some friends. It's legal to shoot fireworks in town there so we spent the night watching other people spend way too much money on fireworks.

On Saturday we drove down to Sioux City, IA for their annual music festival called Saturday in the Park. We had a pretty good time.

Bryan wins!

Bryan sent in my pictures to the Garden Line on SD Public TV. They said:

The weed is curly dock (rumex crispus). It is a perennial, but re-grows from a taproot rather than creeping roots so it is not particularly invasive. You can keep it if you want. Birds may like to eat the seeds. Some seedlings may appear in your lawn or garden, but they are fairly easy to control. Seedling densities will not likely be very high.

You can watch the program here:

Bryan will be getting an autographed picture of myself as a reward.

THANKS!

Guess the plant contest

Whomever can tell me what this is will get a special prize sent your way. If you can't login and comment below send an e-mail to tgallipo@hotmail.com

We have no clue if this is just some huge weed or if it's going to flower or what.

Around the yard...

Lisa and I have been enjoying our yard. Lisa planted a bunch of flowers in pots around the yard and I planted a garden. The owners before us had planted a bunch of perennials so we have been pleased to see them pop up and plan to add more. We also finally figured out that we have an apple tree. We had thought the owners said it was a cherry tree. There is a small meteor cherry tree in the back corner of the lot. It's pretty small still so I don't know if it will produce fruit this year.

We have a tree growing out of our deck. :)

Happy Canada Day

Hey

I have not been on here in a while. Everything is going well. We have started counting down to the due date instead of counting up. We have 11.5 weeks until our baby is born. Lisa is doing well and trying to stay cool. Work has been busy for both of us. I will try to remember to take a picture of Lisa's belly tonight and post it on here. We have been having fun feeling and watching the baby move. I think we spent almost an hour last night playing with her.
