More Aubrey...

Twins are now 3-0 since Aubrey was born. They also took first place last night with a come from behind win against the White Sox. Aubrey was working hard cheering. Her favorite player is Mauer just like mommy.

Video of Aubrey watching/listening/dancing to a live NOFX video. She "saw" NOFX in utero. It was her first concert.

3 days old

Flowers from Lisa's work:
Aubrey's home-made Twins outfit. Grandma and Grandpa Gallipo and our friend Eric both gave Aubrey a Twins shirt but she won't be big enough for them until spring training. So I made one out of a white onsie and a marker. The Twins are 2-0 since Aubrey was born and she has watched both games. They are a half a game out of 1st place because of her hard work cheering. You can see her watching the game on the second video (which is now working) in the post below.

Aubrey spent her first night home from the hospital making sure that Mom and Dad did not get any sleep at all. She would wake up every 45 minutes and let us know that she was hungry. She would then eat for 5-7 minutes and fall asleep. I'm pretty sure she was laughing at us. She is doing very good and Mom and Dad are getting naps every once in a while. The whole family took a trip this morning to Lisa's hair place so she could get a hair cut.

Dad and Aubrey rest.

This is our room that we stayed in for 2 days. Pretty nice.

Some pics...

The Gallipo family just got home from the hospital. I will add a bunch of photos on here then I'm going to take a nap.

Everyone is feeling and doing great.

These first five are just minutes after the birth. We had been up for 24 hours at this point.

Aubrey June Gallipo

Aubrey June Gallipo was born at 7:38 am on 9-22-08. She is 7 lbs 14 oz and 21 inches long. She has a full head of hair and is very healthy. Mom did a fantastic job and is doing well. We will be going home Wednesday and then I will post some pictures and video of our brand new daughter.

At some point there will be a picture added here: http://www.sanfordhealth.org/CradleRoll/

Lisa and I went walking all day Sunday trying to start labor. We woke up and walked. Went out for lunch, then walked. Got some ice cream, then walked. Finally Lisa began having contractions around 4:30 pm on Sunday. We timed the contractions and began preparing to go to the hospital. We went in around midnight. Lisa did an amazing job while in labor and didn't even have an epidural.

9-20-08 "The Due Date"

Lisa is now 40 weeks pregnant. We are impatiently waiting for our baby daughter to make her appearance. It seems she is already taking after her mother and is being stubborn.

Lisa is feeling well but is ready to go "back to normal". She has had a real hard time sleeping and is getting very uncomfortable. We were lucky that she has felt well enough to work though. Today was her last day at work for 12 weeks.

We are about to go for a long walk to see if we can "get things going".
